theater, Theater Wit takes it to extremes with the Chicago premiere of Anne Washburn’s play, which takes the form of a
Hedwig and the
Angry Inch In John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask’s cult rock musical, “internationally ignored song stylist” Hedwig Robinson recounts her journey from being a young boy in Germany to a glam lady rocker in middle America. The Wiz Ease on down the road with
Kokandy Productions’ revival of the 1975 Tony Award–winning musical by William F. Brown and Charlie Smalls, which updated The Wizard of Oz for an all-black cast and a new score tinged with gospel, soul and R&B. Lili-Anne Brown directs a cast led by Sydney Charles as Dorothy.
The Hard Problem Court Theatre stages the newest
work by Tom Stoppard, about a psychologist working on finding the line between biology and personality. Stoppard—one of the brainiest writers in the biz— has been rewriting his script, so this production will be up-to- the-minute. à Court Theatre, 5535 S Ellis Ave (773-753- 4472,

The Most Happy Fella One of the biggest musicals

Thodos Dance Chicago:
“Full Circle” This one-night-only concert marks Thodos Dance Chicago’s 25th anniversary. The program

Destiny of Desire Karen Zacarías’s
