How to Apply


Once you have decided that you would like to study with us, our aim is to make the application process as efficient and straightforward as possible. In order for us to consider your application, you will need to send us the following documentation:


• Copies of all your academic qualifications. If you have not yet completed these, you will need to state this on your application form and send us your results once you have them.


• Proof of English Language competence. For our undergraduate courses we require applicants to have at least IELTS 6.0 or equivalent and for postgraduate IELTS 6.5. If you have studied in English or in an English- speaking country, you will need to provide evidence of this.


There are two main ways to apply:


1. Online application You can apply online via our website www.northampton.ac.uk/international. Applicants for undergraduate courses can also apply online via the University and Colleges Admissions Services at www.ucas.com


2. Using an approved in-country representative We work with a number of in-country representatives across the world. You will find a list of our approved representatives on our

website: www.northampton.ac.uk/international. All in-country representatives are familiar with our courses and our application procedures. Many have visited the University or are University of Northampton graduates, and can therefore provide first-hand information. They will give you advice and guidance as to the course, and which course will be suitable for you, and will also provide assistance with your application for a student visa.


• A personal statement explaining why you would like to study your chosen course and what you plan to do with your qualification.


• A reference or letter of recommendation from one of your academic tutors explaining your academic potential. MBA applicants will be asked to supply two references from current or former employers, and a current CV/résumé.
