THE POWER TO BELIEVE Currently, more than 95% of people who fall victim to
sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) outside of hospital die — primarily because there was no Automated External Defibrillator readily available. It is estimated more than 60,000 people die in the UK every year; 12 young people die from sudden cardiac arrest every week. Using a defibrillators with CPR increases the chance of survival from as little as 6% to 74%.

JSP LAUNCHES VISILITE
EVOLUTION HELMETS JSP Ltd has launched a unique new lighting system for their industrial safety helmets called the Visilite. This fibre optic lighting system has been developed as a method of increasing worker visibility without dazzling colleagues in close proximity.
The Visilite has tough ABS casings making it highly durable to withstand knocks and scrapes. It is easy to fit to the JSP Evo range of Helmets, clips slide onto the front sides and rear of the helmet to keep it in place allowing fibre optic light to shine all around the helmet.
The Visilite offers three lighting modes – static, fast flash or slow flash to suit the user’s needs and is visible up to 50 metres. LED lights shine low level light down the fibre optic, which is refracted by the engraved logos on the flexible optic strip. The unit is USB rechargeable, it comes with a Micro USB cable and can be charged whilst fitted to the helmet.

Powerheart AEDs perform automatic daily, weekly, and monthly self-tests to monitor critical components including the internal circuitry, software, and medical-grade battery for readiness; the pre-connected defibrillation pads are also tested for both presence and functionality.
