Following the successful launch in June of the unique Powerfloat Sealer — which saves time, offers low maintenance and leaves polished concrete floors looking exceptional — Watco have added three new products to complete the range line-up.

How do you preserve the beauty and durability of a power-float polished, concrete floor while also protecting it from dust, stains and general wear and tear?

Industrial strength flooring products company Watco has the answer. The company’s UK based and highly acclaimed in-house technical and manufacturing teams have developed a unique solution: Powerfloat Sealer — the only products specially designed to be applied directly onto power-float concrete floors without requiring prior shot-blasting.

Power-float floors are the smooth and hard surface created by using a power- float machine, with its series of rotating blades, for smoothing and polishing a partially set concrete floor.

The brochures’ muted, natural tones and sleek design will be reflected throughout RAK’s new website, which will be launched ahead of kbb Birmingham 2016.

The end result can be exceptionally attractive but needs protecting from stains and dust, however the hardness of the surface will usually result in any coating failing to penetrate and eventually peeling off.

Consequently, most paint manufacturers insist that customer’s shot-blast their floor requiring additional preparation time and resulting in a textured surface often marked by ‘tramlines’.

Following many customer requests, the Watco team decided to create a new product that could be applied directly to a power-float floor without grinding, etching or shot-blasting. The only requirement being to ensure the surface is clean and dry - saving at least a day’s preparation and all the costs associated with bringing in specialist preparation contractors.

The result is Powerfloat Sealer a new and unique formulation two-part epoxy resin product specially formulated to include a degree of flexibility ‘built-in’. The innovation extends to special additives that allow Powerfloat Sealer to bond with the smooth concrete surface, allowing the sealer to be applied directly to the floor by roller while the inherent flexibility ensures the coating will not lift, chip or crack.
