As we all know, sustainability is becoming a more and more prevalent issue in the cleaning industry, as pressure continues to mount on everyone from chemical manufacturers to front-line cleaners to be ‘greener’.

With that in mind, we wanted to speak to some of the greatest minds in the industry to get their thoughts on the sustainability question, and I’m happy to say we’ve got a vast array of guest experts packed into this supplement for you to enjoy.

First up, I’d like to welcome Dr. Ilham Kadri, President of Diversey Care, to our team of writers, as she makes the business case for sustainability, quashing the common misconception that being greener will take resources away from other areas of the business.

Meanwhile, regular columnist Max Adam, Sales and Marketing Director at RP Adam, looks into the deeper meanings of ‘sustainability’ as a concept, and explains why there is no room for shortcuts in the quest to cut down on your carbon footprint.

Elsewhere, Stephen Ashkin, founder of the Green Cleaning Network and commonly known as the ‘Father of Green Cleaning’, and Ron Segura of cleaning consultancy Segura & Associates offer up their advice on how cleaning companies can effectively reduce their energy output.

We’ve also got some great case studies of eco-friendly strategies in place from the likes of Green World Innovations, Miele Professional and Kärcher, so there should be plenty to keep you entertained throughout the issue.

I hope you enjoy it – so until next time, thanks very much and happy reading! EDITOR’S VOICE
