“BAKEY” MITCHELL RAISES MORE THAN £5,500 FOR ORACLE
CANCER TRUST After months of training, Star Platforms’ Operations Director Ian Mitchell took part in the 2017 London Marathon.
Ian completed the 26.2 mile course on Sunday 23rd April 2017 in a respectable 5 hours 7 minutes. By race day he had smashed his original fundraising target of £2,500 by raising over £5,500 for The Oracle Cancer Trust.
Following the race, Ian said: “I would like to thank everyone who has supported me both with their extremely generous donations and their greatly appreciated messages of support. They have meant so much to me and have been great motivation for me both during my training and the race itself.”
Running in memory of his stepfather, Neil Jones, this was Ian’s first ever marathon. Ian said: “Neil lost his long, and at times, very difficult battle with

laundry and tidying assistance. What began as a vision for an ethical, friendly and professional homecare business has grown into a system of more than 50 franchisees, employing more than 700 people in total.
Bright & Beautiful marks the ninth acquisition for the Dwyer Group in the last few years, growing the organisation to £1.2 billion in system- wide sales. Based in Waco, Texas, Dwyer Group now has 15 franchise brands with more than 2,800 franchisees across service brands and a record 600+ employees throughout North America, Germany and the U.K.
