ISSA CANADA FORMED BY ISSA
AND CSSA ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, and the Canadian Sanitation Supply Association (CSSA) joined forces on 1st April 2017, forming ISSA Canada to directly serve the Canadian cleaning and janitorial community.
Mike Nosko, ISSA Canada executive director, says: “With approval from our members to move forward with ISSA Canada, we are in a much better position to provide a broader range of benefits and services thus creating a greater value for our members. The integration plan between ISSA and CSSA has been in development for more than a year. Maintaining our Canadian identity within the industry was a critical component in moving forward. ISSA Canada will invest heavily in its operations and infrastructure to help ‘Canadianize’ these programs and services for our members and their customers.”

Neil’s primary focus areas will be Customer Satisfaction, Employee Engagement, Continuous Improvement and ensuring that Safe & Efficient Working Practices are adopted throughout.
Neil began his career in the cleaning industry 25 years ago as a Field Service Engineer with family business FCM, which eventually became a national organisation under the name of Tecserv. During his time there he had regional and national responsibility for their Field Service team.
From there Neil moved to Tennant where he spent eight years as

a Service Manager. He turned around a service team to one that delivered a high standard of service to customers, and was financially sustainable.
Neil has a wealth of experience and skills, and will be a great asset to the ICE business.

NICE CONTRACT Emprise Services has been awarded a three-year contract to provide cleaning and support services for the National Institute for Care and Excellence (NICE).
The deal, won through a competitive tender process, began on 1st April 2017 and sees Emprise provide cleaning and hygiene services, consumables and window cleaning at NICE’s offices in City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester.
Originally the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) in 1999, the organisation merged with the Health Development Agency in 2005, rebranding as the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence. In 2013 it became responsible for developing guidance and quality standards in social care and its name was updated again to the National Institute for Care and Excellence to reflect these new responsibilities.
Emprise is a leading mid-market support services provider specialising in cleaning and security with a track record of delivering high quality solutions. Amongst other services, they provide office and daily cleans, housekeeping, pest control, window cleaning, waste management, CCTV and remote monitoring, mobile patrol and alarm response. Other Emprise clients include Savills, The National Theatre, Viacom, Hilton Hotels and De Vere.
