NEW MASTER


IS OLD HAND John (Jack) Broadley is to be installed as the new Master of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners on 27th April 2017.


The installation, which will take place at the Environmental Cleaners’ annual ceremony at St. Olave’s Church, Hart Street within the City of London, will see Jack serve as Master for the second time. He previously held the position in 2003/04.


The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners is one of 110 Livery Companies, based upon trades, industries and professions carrying on the ancient traditions of the Guilds and Livery Companies, which started in the 12th Century. It supports and promotes education, training and charities, as


FIRST NAMES FOR CHSA ACCREDITED DISTRIBUTOR


SCHEME The Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association (CHSA) has welcomed the first distributors into its new Accredited Distributors Scheme, after successfully passing the auditing process.


Jangro and independent distributors DJB Supplies, CPD, Mark Douglas, Capital Cleaning and Martin Vitera are the first distributors to be approved for the Accredited Distributors Scheme. Other major distributors in the sector – Bunzl Cleaning and Safety, Nationwide and Arco and a further eight Independent distributors – are all nearing completion of the auditing process.


Mike Stubbs, Chairman of the Accreditation Scheme Panels and Vice President of the CHSA, said: “Our focus is on driving up standards in the industry. The increasing number

Outgoing Master, Philip Morrish, said: “Although in many ways I’m sad my year as Master has come to an end, I couldn’t be handing the reigns over to a safer pair of hands. Jack has a thorough understanding of what modern livery companies are all about. I look forward to working with him in the coming year as the Company’s Deputy Master.”


Jack will be the first person to have served as Master of the Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners more than once. He said: “It’s a tremendous honour to serve once, never mind twice, but I feel I have a lot more to give the Company and look forward to the challenging and exciting year ahead.”

In order to qualify, distributors must sign a declaration that they will only stock and offer for sale CHGSA Accredited products or products that conform to the same Standards as required by the relevant CHSA Manufacturing Standards Accreditation Scheme.
