CATALOGUES Contract interiors specialist Gradus has released new editions of catalogues for its carpets, matting and stair edgings & floor trims ranges.


The new catalogues feature the latest products and provide comprehensive guidance and recommendations to enable contractors, specifiers and end users to make the right product selections to meet their project requirements.


The new Carpet Collection Catalogue edition 5 offers advice and product recommendations on how to create a coordinated design scheme with the necessary performance requirements for specific areas within commercial office, education and healthcare environments. The catalogue includes details of all Gradus carpet ranges and features three new products; Streetwise Design, SqMile Exec and Carezone.


The new stair edgings and floor trims catalogue edition 4 includes references to BIM objects and features the new Gradus Grip adhesive, an alternative way to fix stair edgings without the need for screws.

NEW DESIGN TALENT British carpet design and manufacturing company Brintons has welcomed recent Birmingham City University (BCU) Textile Design graduate Kayleigh Jones to its UK design team based at the company’s Head Office in Kidderminster.


Over the last four years, Brintons has collaborated closely with BCU’s School of Fashion and Textiles, lending its support to textile degree students during their final-year projects and promoting the students’ work at leading industry events and design festivals.


Brintons Commercial Marketing Manager, Sarah Draper, and designers Jodie Hatton and Jay Ralley-Jones were invited by the university to award a prize for Design Innovation to a graduate of the School of Fashion and Textiles Graduate Show 2016.

BUILDING ADHESIVES LTD FLIES THE FLAG FOR TILING AT UK MANUFACTURING


AWARDS Building Adhesives Ltd represented the tiling industry at a nationwide celebration of the best of UK manufacturing at The Manufacturer MX Awards 2016.


The company, which manufactures tile adhesives, grouts, sealants and other ancillary tiling products under the BAL and Dunlop brands, was shortlisted in three categories for Sustainable Manufacturing, Supply Chain Excellence and Through-Life Engineering Services.


Building Adhesives took their place alongside internationally-renowned companies such as Caterpillar, McLaren Automotive, Siemens, JCB and Coca-Cola at the awards ceremony in Birmingham hosted by impressionist Rory Bremner.


David Hackett, General Manager at Building Adhesives Ltd, said: “It was an honour and a privilege for BAL to attend the awards ceremony again and represent the UK tiling industry alongside so many household global names with manufacturing in the UK.
