AWARDS 2015 TOMORROW’S CLEANING
wipepod The Hygiene Company
Launched four years ago, the wipepod is a wall-mounted wipes dispenser that offers a low-cost, practical, convenient means by which to increase and maintain compliance to simple yet effective hygiene procedures.
Designed by the Hygiene Company to be used in conjunction with their full range of recyclable wipes, the wipepod can play a critical role in maintaining healthy staff and customers, but as well as cleaning, sanitising and disinfecting hands, it can be used to clean and disinfect surfaces and remove organic material, meaning it can be utilised across a broad spectrum of service industries, as well as the commercial and domestic washroom.
Available in a wide range of colours, the wipepod is easy to install, with a simple wall-mounting frame, and virtually maintenance free, coming with a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defect or vandalism. It is constructed from polypropylene and impregnated with silver biocides, which work as a bacteria cell penetrant, disrupting key cell functions so that micro-organisms are unable to grow or reproduce.
The product of a £100,000 investment and seven years of intensive research, design and development, the wipepod is a tried and tested product that has been highly recommended by all facilities where it is used.
Woof To Wash JTM Service
UK laundry specialist JTM service and Miele Professional have teamed up to launch the world's fi rst ‘Woof to Wash' washing machine which is activated by a dog's bark.
Although assistance dogs are trained to strip beds, fi ll laundry baskets, load and empty washing machines to help their disabled owners, until now they haven’t been able to turn on a machine. These machines have a built in microphone linked to a voice- activation switch: the assistance dog barks at the microphone and the machine is turned on. Attached to the face of the machine is a pull rope to open the door which the assistance dog is trained to tug, enabling them to then load the machine before closing the door with a nudge of its nose.
The machine washes on a single 40 degree wash – environmentally friendly and ideal for most fabrics – and the correct dose of washing detergent is automatically dispensed from a special 10l dose bottle, which can be topped up by a carer as required. To open the machine after the wash cycle has ended the assistance dog steps on the paw print button at the bottom of the machine.
