TOMORROW’S CLEANING AWARDS 2015

KomPear Cleaning Website KomPear Cleaning

KomPear Cleaning is a service that allows end users to compare quotes for cleaning services from approved and vetted cleaning companies. The business, founded in 2013, by industry professionals, provides qualifi ed cleaning leads on a ‘no lead, no fee’ basis. There are no fees for approval and no minimum commitment, contractors simply choose the leads they want to purchase.

All leads are generated via Google and end user direct marketing. Qualifi ed leads are sold to only 3 approved contractors within region. This allows the end user to compare professional, market priced quotes from trusted cleaning companies.

All contractors must pass the approval process which requires verifi cation of their accreditations including health and safety and professional insurances. KomPear Cleaning also verifi es references from existing clients and passes this information on to the end user looking for cleaning services.

The online lead generation platform covers all service sectors nationwide and is currently looking to appoint professional contractors in some UK regions. Co-Founder Karen James said: “The internet is a very competitive arena; it is very diffi cult for small and medium sized businesses to compete on the web. Traditional marketing does work but carries a high cost and has operational implications. Our solution is ideal for contractors looking to expand their business.”

Lambi Metsa Tissue

Metsa Tissue has introduced another state of the art packaging innovation, which has been made possible as a result of substantial investment in environmental research and development. From a Metsa Tissue Consumer brand, Lambi, the nomination is for a new environmentally friendly plastic foil. This foil is produced from sugar cane instead of oil and is called “Green Polyethylene".

Metsa Tissue has been involved in this innovative technology for some time, and indeed was the fi rst northern European organisation to launch a complete brand in this enviro-friendly plastic (with their Serla brand). The foil has the same properties and is recycled in the same way as ordinary plastic, but because the fossil fuel has been replaced with the renewable resource of sugar cane, it is even better alternative for the environment. As well as this great feature, plastic packaging reduces to a much smaller volume of waste than cardboard packaging, so helps companies conform to demanding waste packaging requirements.

As with the Katrin brand, the Lambi products themselves are made from safe renewable raw materials, and are biodegradable. The product features the Nordic Swan, which together with the green plastic, ensures that the product delivers maximum environmental performance.
