COMMUNITY IMPACT
In addition to generating funds for innovative programming, the Emily Griffith Foundation seeks resources to support scholarships, classroom equipment and other special projects which enhance the educational experience for its students.
New Campuses After nearly 100 years of providing knowledge, skills and values that have provided students the ability to compete in the workforce, Emily Griffith Technical College has moved into new locations that will enable Colorado’s largest technical college to expand capacity in high demand career-training programs. The 3-part campus is as unique as the College itself.
1860 Lincoln was the first of the three new campuses to open to the public. We recently celebrated our one-year anniversary in our new vertical campus in the heart of downtown. This award-winning campus boasts a distinctive community that includes, Emily Griffith Technical College, Emily Griffith High School, Downtwon Denver Expeditionary School and Denver Public Schools administration.
Video Editing and Production has its own campus at 9th and Sherman in Capitol Hill. This campus opened shortly after 1860 Lincoln in the fall of 2014. The Video Editing and Production campus also hosts channel 22, creating a one-of-a-kind, hands-on learning environment for students passionate about television and film.
The third new campus only recently opened in August of 2015. While all the campuses are impressive, the meticulous planning involved with the campus at 1205 Osage means that students enrolled in a College of Trades and Industry program are learning on equipment that is ahead of its time. From the finish of the floor to the incorporation of “green” elements, 1205 Osage epitomizes the College’s ability to meet industry need, even as we move into a more technologically inclined era.
Grow Your Own Employee We invite Corporate Partners to engage with students at Emily Griffith Technical College in a program that gives businesses access to students who have shown promise through their academic coursework and are ready to enter the workforce. There are many levels to the Grow Your Own Employee program that give corporate partners options in regards to their workforce needs.
