Foundation was founded in 1925, 90 years ago, not quite as long ago as the Emily Griffith Opportunity School. One of the original board members of the Denver Foundation in 1925 was Emily Griffith. It must have been
extraordinarily unusual to have a woman on the board of an institution back in 1925. Emily Griffith was the only female on the original Denver Foundation board. The
