About this report
Improving the communication and transparency of SSE’s tax affairs is important to the Group and something that SSE has increasingly focused on in recent years. SSE fully discloses its tax affairs in its Annual Report according to accounting standards, and the enhanced disclosure requirements of the Fair Tax Mark.
This report is an additional voluntary disclosure, providing detailed country by country reporting and greater transparency around SSE’s approach to tax. While predominantly a company with UK interests, SSE also has trading operations in Ireland. As a result, this report is UK focused but Irish tax figures have been provided.
