brimming with blackberry notes


Two beautiful berries feature in Brockmans Gin: blueberries and blackberries. With the wild blackberry season now in full swing, cocktails which feature this delicious berry are a superb seasonal addition to a cocktail menu.


The exclusive Brockmans Gin recipe book The Black Book of Gin Cocktails has several elegant recipes celebrating the fruit of the season and here we bring you two of those recipes. In the autumn chapter, there is a Blackberry Sling recipe – deeply coloured, dark and refreshing, it is the perfect mid-season drink.


Blackberries and lime juice, plus a herbal flourish provided by a sprig of fresh rosemary, are the perfect complement to the natural berry notes in this 40% ABV gin. The solid embossed glass bottle, which looks very beautiful on the bar, even echoes the tactile quality of blackberries.


Blackberries also feature in this book within the Classic Cocktails chapter. The Bramble is a perennial favourite; here is the Brockmans version.


Brockmans Blackberry Sling


50ml Brockmans Gin 25ml sugar syrup 50ml lime juice soda water


10 fresh blackberries a sprig of rosemary


Muddle the blackberries and a sprig of rosemary in a highball glass. Remove the rosemary, add the remaining ingredients and stir. Add ice and top with soda.


Garnish with fresh blackberries and a sprig of fresh rosemary.


The Bramble


40ml Brockmans Gin 20ml fresh lemon juice 15ml sugar syrup 15ml créme de mure


Fill a tumbler with crushed ice. Half fill a cocktail shaker with ice, add the Brockmans Gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice and sugar syrup and shake. Strain into the glass, then pour the crème de mure over the top. Garnish with blackberries.
