Contract Furniture Group

AESTHETIC APPEAL KEY IN 2019 Says CFG

your offering has got to be presented in an environment that makes the clientele feel like they’re somewhere special.

Contract Furniture Group believes next year will see venues continue to put visual appearance at the heart of the design process. At a time when purse strings are only being loosened with extreme caution, the UK’s largest manufacturer and supplier of furniture for hospitality, entertainment and retail spaces, is still seeing significant investment into interior styling – often overriding other key concerns such as practicality and cost.

In real terms, Contract Furniture Group is backing its market trend prophecy by increasing the creation and stocking of items designed to make the most aesthetic impact. This includes the expansion of the industrial and retro collections that are already helping many venues deliver truly standout

experiences, with the launch of more high end lines expected early in the New Year. The firm has also invested heavily in its bespoke manufacturing sites and in-house design teams to ensure that it can create, produce and deliver quickly when customers want something a little different.

There is, of course, always risk in backing hunches, but given the experience Contract Furniture Group has built serving the industry over the last two decades, Managing Director Richard Bellamy believes he’s got a safe bet that will put venues onto a winner. As he explains:

“We’ve been around long enough to know what’s coming over the horizon. We know that experience is everything in today’s leisure market, and that means that all types of venues have to go bold or go bust. Unless you’re going to seriously undercut the competition on price,

To talk shop, things like press ply chairs with a curved back are flying out at the moment as they offer a really cost effective way for restaurants and bars to present a more luxurious appearance and opulent feel. It’s a simple upgrade that has a substantial impact. And whilst sales of our traditionally popular chairs, such as the Memphis, have remained strong, pieces with increased detailing such as our Bono and Nico Ital chairs are becoming the natural choice for venues looking for high- end design.

Similarly, good quality industrial, rustic and retro ranges have really taken off due to their ability to transform spaces into whole new worlds, and we expect that to continue throughout next year. In short, we’re telling the designers and venue owners were working with that bland is banned if they want to thrive in 2019.”
