300 pupils go on the run at Sibford
On 20 November, more than 300 children descended on Sibford for the North Oxfordshire School Sport Partnership Cross Country Primary School Finals. It was a great event with competitors encouraged
by plenty of cheering and shouting from both pupils and spectating parents. Congratulations to our U11 Boys team who finished
2nd overall and so qualify for the Level 3 Oxfordshire Schools Games Final which will be held at Tilsley
Park, Abingdon in March. Special mention goes to Tom who finished 4th overall. There was triumph too for the U11 girls’ team (pictured) who came in 3rd place overall. Thanks to our Year 10 and Year 9 pupils who helped with the event … leading the running and acting as course marshals. We couldn’t have done it without you!
North Oxon swimming champions Ultra Marathon
Congratulations to Year 12 student, Dominic, who on 2 December completed a 36 mile ultra marathon in aid of Cystic Fibrosis. The run, which took Dominic through a number of North Oxfordshire villages, was completed in six hours 30 minutes.

Congratulations to Sibford’s U11 swimming teams who have been named North Oxfordshire Primary Swimming Champions 2017. The girls scored a total of 31 points, beating their rivals St Mary’s into
second place with 22 points. The boys scored 32 points, with Hanwell Fields coming home in second place with 22 points. Meanwhile the U12s boys and girls teams both took silver which means all four Sibford teams have qualified for the School Games County Finals which will take place in July.
