District Councillor Update
By now, you should have received the latest issue of the ‘East Dorset News,’ which is being distributed throughout our District.
Inside, you will fi nd the latest news on East Dorset Council issues and events. I trust you will fi nd it to be of interest. The information regarding the Council Budget and the explanation of the Council Tax may be of particular interest. Also, there is more information about the ‘long awaited’ decision of the Secretary of State regarding any possible reorganisation of Local Government in Dorset.

During the recent National Apprenticeship Week, our Economic Development team joined up with some local employers: Superior Seals, JP Morgan and Bournemouth and Poole College to host a breakfast event.
The event dealt with all that anyone needs to know about apprenticeships, but were afraid to ask! It helped the employers, and the young people interested in becoming apprentices, get more information about opportunities that exist.
Following the installation of community defi brillators in our village, a free training session on how to use a defi brillator is being held on Tuesday 16th May, at 7pm in the Guide HQ at the Recreation Ground. This is in conjunction with the South Western Ambulance Services Trust and, if you would like to attend, please let one of your Corfe Mullen District Councillors know.
