BALLOON FIESTA IN NUMBERS: 342 toy helicopters sold. 502 people trained in CPR.
156 volunteers gave 943 hours of their time. £16,631.95 raised.
The event would not have been such a success without our dedicated volunteers. They gave up their own time to sell merchandise, bucket collect, and hand out newsletters, and we are very grateful for their support. Our volunteers are ambassadors for the charity, and help us to promote the work we do.
One of the most important life skills you could learn is how to perform CPR. With this in mind we set out to teach as many people as possible how to do it. During the weekend our volunteers taught 502 people, aged from 3 to 70. One single mother wanted her two young boys to learn as if anything happened to her at home they would be the only people there. Knowing these skills could be the difference between life and death. You can read more about our new campaign – Great Western Heart Starters, on page 7.
Big thank you to all the people
