be speaking Dutch with his wife and English with us and he’d be on the phone with some- body in Germany talking. A lot of people send him stuff to mix and master and he’d send it back. That’s pretty much what he was doing. Or one of the things he was doing. So I mean, I’d sit there and watch this guy and he’s speaking in three different languages depend- ing on who he was talking to and he’s just going back and forth it’s like, man I have enough trouble with English, you know?

Yeah, me too. I have enough trouble finding words without being in three different languages. He’s just a genius and what a wonderful dude and I think all those records that he did are just fabulous sounding. You might not like my playing or my singing or my songwriting or anything but when you listen to those you have to go, “Damn, those records sound good!” (Laughgs)

Yeah. . So this is the first one I did by myself and I tried to do stuff the way Erwin would have done it. I don’t know how good I did but you know you’ll get to hear it here before too long.

Yeah. Looking forward to that. Well, I tell ya Sonny, want to wrap up by say- ing thank you, thank you for your time and we look forward to the next time that we can see you and hopefully play together again. It was just a whole lotta fun at the Big House and I don’t know, I just wish you continued success and everything. . Well thanks for having me in your magazine. Thanks for the interview and man I wish you all the best, too, Michael, you’re a nice fella.

Oh, thanks buddy. •
