SPRINGFIELD SPORTSMEN’S SHOW
The 34Th annual Springfi eld Sportsmen’s Show runs February 24th thru the 26th at the Eastern States Exposition, ‘Home of the Big E’ in West Springfi eld. The largest pure hunting and fi shing show in the Northeast is fi lled with hundreds of exhibitor’s booths, special exhibits, seminars and action demo areas.
This two-building show is fi lled with an outdoorsman’s dream of fi shing and hunting gear, outfi tters, charterboats, hunting and adventure destinations, along with great deals on fi shing boats, ATV’s and UTV’s. The sheer size of the Springfi eld Sportsmen’s Show insures the greatest cross section of equipment, seminars, outfi tters and guides, at the most competitive prices.
Back by demand, in the Great Outdoor Entertainment Hall in the Stroh Building is Bwana Jim’s Wildlife Show. His show is a spectacular live event where you’ll see all of Bwana Jim’s favorite critters in person from alligators to snakes. In this entertaining and educational program, Bwana Jim will introduce you to an extensive array of animals and teach you all about how they live in the wild.
The Great Outdoor Entertainment Hall is stuffed full of great attractions and displays such as; The Northeast Big Buck Club and Water-Dog Retrieving Pool. Located in the middle of the Great Entertainment Hall will be a pool stocked with trout for Family Fun where all kids will have a chance to fi sh for their own lunker.
Catch the ‘Salt Slammer’ saltwater experts, Captain Bill Brown, Captain Bruce Millar and the shoreline’s best, Dave Pickering sharing their knowledge in seminars for you. Captain Bill ‘Ironman’ Brown returns stronger than ever with even more tips and techniques and tales of big fi sh.
New this year we have the fantastic buck mounts display from up and coming star of the whitetail hunting world Cory DeSousa. He is a pro-staffer on Mathew’s Dominant Bucks TV as well as on Whitetail Slam TV. Cory has harvested over 60 whitetail bucks, 3 of which are Boone and Crockett. He has also achieved a Whitetail Slam and is currently pursuing The Ultimate Whitetail Slam.
Dean Vanier producer of North Woods Hunting Products, will be giving seminars on calling whitetails and advanced scent handling techniques. Dean is well known as a deer hunter and seminar speaker; his scent company is one of the top hunting lure manufacturers in the Northeast.
