When Can You Make Changes to Medicare?

Medicare coverage once a year, if needed. It’s a good idea to review your plan every year to make sure that you always have coverage that fi ts your needs at the greatest savings to you. Here is a

1. Medicare Open Enrollment Period This is when you can make new

Examples include; moving out of coverage area, qualifying for extra help programs, have access to group coverage based on full time employment, and more.


3. Medicare Advantage Disenrollment Period This is provided to allow you to drop


your Medicare Advantage plan and return to Original Medicare. It occurs every year from January 1-February 14. If your Medicare Advantage plan includes drug coverage, then you can also enroll in a stand alone prescription drug plan at this time.
