RotaKids
In early December, our wonderful Rotakids took the spirit of Christmas to Ferendune Court Care Home.
They sang to the residents, gave them their homemade Christmas cards and enjoyed a drink, mince pies and a cake or two with them.
RotaKids started the New Year with a great turnout of 15 of our 16 members and three new members who were trying us out with a view to joining soon. We are spending the next couple of weeks talking about the charities we wish to support this coming term.
Our RotaKids raised the magnificent sum of £1,278 in 2016 through their hard work at various events in the town. We have already sent a Literacy Box out to Zambia and sent money to the End Polio campaign and we have some £736 left to allocate.
We have received some wonderful presentations during the year from Kidney Research, Syrian Refugees, Cancer Research, Guide Dogs & Canine Assistance and Reach which helps children with upper limb differences.
