its own color, touch-screen tab- let, the vMax Navigator. It fully integrates with the company’s vMax Compass routing software and vMax Live Plus fleet tracking. Drivers login to the table to access
their pre-trip inspection instructions as well as turn-by-turn directions
via the built-in navigation software. Data is sent by Wi-Fi or cellular sig- nals. Te tablet includes inputs for a driver panic button as well as for stop-arm deployment along with an optional RFID card reader for stu- dent tracking. It also allows students to conduct post-trip inspections and to log out to track their time and attendance. And as the tablet is from Seon, it connects to the company’s DVRs for monitoring the status of video recording.
Te company also announced last month the launch of School Bus Hub, a secure online parent notifi- cation tool for realtime notifications of on-time bus arrival. Te service integrates with vMax Compass. l
