Lifetime achievement

Congratulations to Ingeborg Frimmel, founder of Catherine Nail Collection, who recently received the Prix d' Honneur de la Beauté in recognition of her lifetime’s work.

Trained beautician Ingeborg started the brand in 1979, with the desire to make women around the world happy with ‘beautiful nails forever’. Today, the German-based company distributes its premium products worldwide including their multi-award winning UV gels and UV nail polishes.

“Ingeborg Frimmel has built up, with her own vision, her unmistakable instinct for trends and the necessary bite, almost out of nowhere, a company, that stands to this day for hand and fingernail cosmetics in the premium segment, more than almost any other company,” explained Jürgen Volpp, General Manager of Health & Beauty Business Media GmbH, in his honour speech.

The Prix d' Honneur de la Beauté is awarded every year by specialised publisher Health & Beauty Business Media GmbH to outstanding personalities of the Cosmetics Industry.

HD Brows to rebrand

Brow treatment brand HD Brows is to rebrand as High Definition. The move to the new name follows its successful launch of a make-up range through its salon network last year meaning the brand is no longer solely synonymous with brows. A stylish new logo, designed by CEO and Co-Founder Nilam Holmes Patel, is also being launched. She told IB: “It’s a hugely exciting time for High Definition. “The transition from HD Brows to High Definition will bring lots of positive changes and takes the company to the next level – firmly establishing the brand as a major player in the beauty industry.” The move to the new name and logo officially changes this month.

18 Sell-out MUA masterclass

James McKnight, brand ambassador for New <id, visited Hennessy Hair & Beauty recently.

James held a complete make-up masterclass for salons, which was a sell- out event and a great success, creating three looks on the night – one bridal, one mature lady and one party look.

Hennessy Hair & Beauty have also reported a hugely successful Black Friday event at the end of November, where they offered salons and therapists 25% off products.
