Horoscopes ~ January 2017 by Yerevan readingsbyyerevan@gmail.com

Aries (3/21 - 4/20)

As this new year begins you may be focused on family matters and the needs of those who are close to you. Intensity and power strug- gles might need tempering. Later into the month you collaborate with like-minded oth- ers in a special endeavor that you might have been planning or building up to for awhile. You have a lot to say and share and not much can stop you. Just be careful not to overbook your schedule or neglect your health.

Taurus (4/21 - 5/20)

You are coming into the spotlight this month, which at first might seem intimidating. The attention you receive may initially come from close family and friends, later extend- ing to your greater community and possibly the world in general. Things could feel a bit uneasy or uncertain at work so try to maintain poise and a positive outlook. How you man- age depends on what you’ve been doing the past few months and if you feel to express yourself in new ways.

Gemini (5/21 - 6/20)

A focus this month is a cultivation of your personal resources, financial and otherwise. You’ve recently cleared a lot out to make way for the new and could use a bit of re- juvenation. Relationships have been very work focused lately, and you may need to maintain that focus for awhile longer. Part of your homework this month is to plan some fun time for the year ahead! Another part is to ponder the significance of the impact you have on others.

Cancer (6/21 - 7/22)

A makeover of your appearance, home or career is quite probable in the weeks ahead. Meanwhile you still have to keep up with cer- tain routines that might not be glamorous but certainly help to keep a positive momentum that you have established for yourself. Try to avoid conflicts with authority figures and do stay closely aligned with your allies. The intake of new information could become very important to you at this time as well.

Leo (7/23 - 8/22)

As the year begins you may strongly re- visiting the one just past. This is a time for reflection and self-appraisal so that you can optimize your next moves. Some big changes may be occurring in your workplace or career and you might need most of your energy and focus to navigate through it. On another note your love life is looking pretty good right now which could be a wonderful motivating factor to getting things done efficiently.

Virgo (8/23 - 9/22)

You are in an excellent money-making phase as the new year kicks off. Being able to net- work and nurture your mutually beneficial partnerships is a key to your continued suc- cess. Some of this could get a little bit tricky at times but if you are able to stand back now and then to shake off the frustration and not take things so personal, things will quickly move forward again. You may wish to engage in humanitarian endeavors at this time also.

Libra (9/23 - 10/22)

Some serious change is occurring in your world, but some of you may ask - when will this seriousness ever end? No but really, this time it’s different. Jupiter in your sign doesn’t guarantee all fun and laughter for a year but it truly does bring in a fresh new wave of energy into areas of your life that you might not have thought of refreshing. Make way! This month you may be very much out in the world but also very focused inwardly.

Scorpio (10/23 - 11/22)

In the new year you may strongly wish to expand your horizons in some way, and that wish is likely to be fulfilled. This could come in the form of travel, education or some formal invitation to a special place or event. You’re also so magnetic now that you are drawing a lot more strange, interesting and exciting people and/or romance into your life than you may have bargained for. If you enjoy the Twi- light Zone, you’ll probably enjoy this.

Sagittarius (11/23 - 12/21)

You have learned a lot this past year and are ready to put your newfound knowledge to use, especially when it comes to taking care of business. You are willing to work harder than ever before to achieve your goals as you may begin to see the fruits of past labors showing up in surprising ways. Later January would be an excellent time for making large investments. Avoid the temptation to sink into old habits as you make advancements.

Capricorn (12/22 - 1/19)

Relationships are a huge highlight for you this month, for better or worse. It all depends on whether you are single or with someone and how well the two of you get along. You could attract someone special into your life who is an old soul or maybe just older than your- self. This would likely be someone who lives closer than you previously realized. Perhaps your paths finally crossed for the first time. It is an excellent month for artistic and musical expressions.

Aquarius (1/20 - 2/18)

The inspiration and resources are available to you at this time to manifest many different possibilities. You may be on a role with watch- ing your thoughts rapidly materialize things into being. They are materializing so fast however that you may reconsider the things you are bringing about. A retracing of steps is not a bad thing and doesn’t mean you have to undo all of you’ve done. It can actually help to find lost objects and correct some mistakes.

Pisces (2/19 - 3/20)

You are a powerhouse right now and might not even realize it. You are also being show- ered with some form of love or gratitude that you felt was missing for a long time. It could also be the other way around - that you are finally able to shower someone else with the love they were unable to receive for some reason or another. In any case, there is a theme this month of being able to finally to freely express what has been buried, hidden or rejected.

“You’ve got to get obsessed and stay obsessed.” ~ John Irving The Next Mr. Healdsburg! ... continued from page 15

all involved in the process, all of the other contestants, I was already feeling the benefi ts of participating long before the night of the pageant,” says Tej. “I was meeting some great new people, I had an ice breaker built in just because my name and face were on the poster— it was great!”

Chris Herrod, another past

Mr. Healdsburg, agreed that the pageant was one of the most fun evenings of his life. “I am a big believer in this event. It’s one night when none of us need to take ourselves too seriously, when we can have a party and a laugh and do some real good for a central, hometown insti- tution; the Raven [Performing Arts]Theater.” The Raven is funded en- tirely off ticket purchases and

donations and puts those funds right back into our commu- nity, hosting students, produc- ing live theater, concerts, and educational lectures, and giv- ing local kids and adults their chance to shine under the spot- light. If you’re looking for an alternative to touristy trends, for something that gives back to Healdsburg and fosters com- munity, this is the event for you.

The 2017 pageant will be

held on February 25 and in- terested community members should contact Carol Noack at carol.noack@raventheater.org for more information. Contes- tants must have a Healdsburg presence,

through residency,

work, or a strong social or vol- unteer role. We look forward to cheering you on!
