The 5.8-acre park features an array of amenities including a community pavilion,

porated into the new park, and Artist Mario Uribe has been commissioned through a com- petitive call for artists by the Arts in Public Places Commit- tee to create and install a mu- ral on three sides of the com- munity pavilion. Uribe will be working in conjunction with artist Daniel Doughty on the mural titled Harmony, and the mural will feature iconic views of Bayer Farm on the east and west walls. The walls are con- nected by twelve circles deco- rated with traditional folk art from cultures represented in Bayer Farm and the surround- ing neighborhoods. The artists will be inviting the community to participate in painting the mural at Bayer Park through a paint by numbers activity over the next couple weeks. The fi rst date to participate in the mural painting is on Thursday, De- cember 22, 2016, and members of the public are invited to drop by the park that day between 10am and 2pm to participate. Additional dates for the com- munity to participate in the mu- ral painting will be announced soon.
