Best Loved Body-Mind-Spirit Expo Returns – Just in Time to Start the New Year Right!

he ever-popular Awaken Wellness Fair, NYC’s best loved body-mind-spirit-green expo, returns. The Fair takes place on Sunday, January 29, 2017 in the Penntop Ballroom of the Hotel Pennsylvania, 401 Seventh Avenue, New York NY 10001 from 10 am to 5 pm.

T

For 14 years this wellness focused, educational and experiential event has at- tracted well over 100 exhibitors to locations through- out the tri-state area. The goal remains constant: educating the public about the variety of wellness ser- vices and products that are available today. Growing from 42 people at the first event in 2002 to hundreds of people in recent years, the Fair has expanded from one annual event to multiple events over the years,

including New York City, Tarrytown NY, Fort Lee NJ and Brooklyn NY. Men and women who are curious about holistic practices are attracted to the

Awaken Fairs. They find abundant information encompassing the world of ancient, as well as new cutting-edge, healing/wellness methods. Often guests have come expecting to spend a couple of hours and find themselves spending the entire day, because there is so much exciting knowledge to gather! Intuitive readers and holistic healers are a huge part of the show. This group offers insight through tarot reading, mediumship, angel reading, numerology, pet readings and many more (for entertainment purposes only). The gifted healers prac- tice Reiki, reflexology and energy healing. Healing practices have become more and more mainstream recently, and many people “sample” a healing practice for the first time at the Awaken Fair. Discounted rate appointments can be made with readers and healers online at ppcgroup.fullslate.com. This fun and educational day also includes an assortment of amazing vendors of- fering the best products and services to support a healthy lifestyle. They present huge variety ranging from essential oils, to Ayurvedic doctors, to nutritional supplements and organic cleaning products. Of course, the best vendors of healing crystals and jewelry are at the fair too, offering love focused rose quartz, healing turquoise, serenity inducing amethyst and all the others. This Fair features expert holistic and wellness speakers giving talks all day; there is no additional charge for these Speakers.

The web site AwakenFairs.com is the place to go for any wellness vendors or com- panies wanting to be part of the excitement, to preview the exhibitors who will be at the NYC Awaken Fair on January 29. See ad on page 17.

Team did more than practice flips and tumbling skills. Under the leadership of Captain Dakato Ejnes, the team (ex- pected to be a top-performing team in the county) wanted to be more than just great gymnasts. Ejnes wanted to leave a legacy in 2016, her senior year. She sent a letter at the beginning of the season to her teammates that talked about this goal. “I would like to end my year leaving something behind—not a trophy or a school record (though those are wonderful things to achieve),” wrote Ejnes. “But I’d like to leave the future team with a sense of pride, especially in their own community. I’d like our team to be one that we’re all proud of. I want our team to help make other’s lives just a little bit better.” To do that Ejnes discovered a family in need this past holiday season, and the team members and their parents purchased gifts and held a wrapping/pasta party.
