One of the big attractions of this event is the huge mix of different vehicle types and ages which represent an extraordinary cross- section of motoring history. The emphasis of the day is as a relaxed, social occasion with a chance to chat and enjoy picnics between runs. Brooklands is one of eight local charities to benefit from funds raised from the event this year – some £41,000 was raised in the first three years of the event.


The next hill climb is scheduled to take place


on 3rd September, 2017 with entry booking opening in early March.

Bikes at Shere


This was the second year the Brooklands Motor- cycle Team was invited and we duly responded with eight entries, including the Museum’s 1927 Sunbeam Light Tourist motorcycle which purred up the slightly overcast hill to the delight of the audience not used to seeing flat-tankers on the road. Triumphs were well represented with Mike Digby’s club racer, Duncan Hedley’s T100 and Perry Barwick’s Thunderbird. Christian Berry also treated the crowd to the sound of his Triumph- powered Triton ‘café racer’ After a small hiccup at this year’s Banbury Run, Ian Dabney completed a
