‘Vieux Charles III’, James Cheyne’s Halford Special which ran in the 1926 Grand Prix, and the modified 1927 Duesenberg Indianapolis car which Enzo Ferrari entered in the 1933 Monza Grand Prix in Italy.


Visiting Grand Prix cars on the day included the 1921 Sunbeam in which Capt (later Sir) Henry Segrave competed in his first Grand Prix (the French) and which later won the 1922 Isle of Man Tourist Trophy race. Grand Prix Bugattis regularly starred at Brooklands, and Count Czaykowski’s type-51, with great Brooklands history, graced the Paddock.


Representing the latter part of the 20th century was the 1992 Williams FW14G once driven by Nigel Mansell, while 21st century cars include a trio of Mercedes driven by Mika Häkkinen, Lewis Hamilton from his first year in Formula One and Nico Rosberg.


The Sunbeam Talbot Darracq Register took up


Norton-JAP owned and ridden by Frank Clark (Katharine Allen).


1926 team at Brooklands and came second in the 1927 race. The 1,500cc, straight-eight super- charged Delage is one of four originally built by the Delage factory for the 1926 season, including that first British Grand Prix, which was won by Robert Sénéchal and Louis Wagner in a sister car. residence in the Motoring Village with some eye- watering vehicles. Of particular note was a Talbot BI150 Airline from 1935 proudly displaying its art deco coach work and a Talbot AM75/90 from 1930 by KC Bodies Ltd. Cars displayed in the Campbell Car Park by the Race Bays included early Austins, a glorious two-tone Rolls Royce and a beautiful but unusual 1936 Wolseley 12-48 four-door saloon.
