THE BELL SOCIETY Honoring an OES Legend

Kris Van Hatcher ’70 has shaped OES Athletics in every way imaginable: as an athlete, a coach, and an athletic director. His influence on and off the field, on students and coaches alike, has been remarkable. More than that, Hatch (as he is more commonly known) has been a leader in Oregon athletics for decades. When it was announced that Hatch would retire at the end of the 2015–16 school year, it was clear to the entire community that OES alumni, parents, colleagues, and friends would want to honor the indelible mark Hatch has made on the school.

The Kris Van Hatcher ’70 Endowment Fund was established in 2016 to provide current students with financial aid and to celebrate Hatch’s many contributions to the OES community. The endowment is an open fund capable of receiving contributions from community members interested in supporting financial aid and honoring Hatch.

Thank you to the many donors whose generosity and admiration of Hatch made this fund a reality.

THE BELL

SOCIETY OES

The Bell Society honors and recognizes individuals who have either established an endowment during their lifetime and/or provided for OES through their estate plans. Endowment funders, planned givers, and donors contributing to an endowed fund are instrumental to building the OES Endowment, providing stable funding for the school and supporting an array of needs such as student financial aid, faculty salaries, and enrichment programs.
