Maidstone Borough Council 5

Resident Parking Permits. Save time, do it online!

The council has recently launched a new online form that allows residents to apply for parking permits. This new form follows on from the highly successful renew a parking permit which is used to renew over 70% of permits every month online. These forms have allowed the council to improve the service and considerably reduce the time it takes to get permits to people.

The council offers a wide range of digital services - everything from booking bulky rubbish collections to checking planning applications.

These online services are available 7 days a week 365 days a year and lots of people find them the most convenient way to deal with the council.

If you see a Community Toilet Scheme sticker in a shop window what exactly does this mean?

We are working with local businesses like shops, restaurants and pubs, to help improve the provision of public toilet facilities within the Town Centre.

Through this scheme you will have more access to clean, safe and accessible toilets.

A number of organisations are participating in the scheme which means that you are able to use their toilet facilities during normal opening hours without having to make a purchase.

How the scheme works:

Participating premises display one of our four stickers in their window showing the facilities available e.g. male, female, wheelchair accessible, baby-changing facilities. Members of the public can use the toilet facilities during the premises’ opening hours; however, businesses retain the right to refuse entry to anyone whose behaviour is unacceptable.

Window Signs:

Premises participating in the Community Toilet Scheme will display one of these signs in their window. Wherever you see this sign means you are welcome to use the toilet facilities without having to make a purchase.
