Footpath next to the Bomb-Hole It had been agreed with Community Payback to clear a metre on the resident side and to the area leased from Tonbridge and Malling Council. Vegetation The chairman would arrange a meeting with TMBC Landscape Services to review vegetation maers in Leybourne and also a meeting with Croudace to review land covenant issues. Oxley Shaw footpathAmeeting would be arranged with KCC Landscape Services to review overgrown vegetation. Tree The chairman said he had received further enquiries from a resident on who had authorised the tree being removed in Oxley Shaw Lane next to the shops. He would make enquiries with local authorities and respond to the resident. Junction 4/CastleWayApublic meeting would be arranged for residents to establish their views.

Public questionsAresident referred to the recent arson aacks on cars and his concern that the policewere not taking this seriously. He had captured CCTV images of the individual he thoughtwas responsible. The council had wrien to Tom Tugendhat and the Police Commissioner on this maer. It was agreed that the chairman would follow up with theMPand the PCSOs. The resident was asked to send in a report to the clerk andwas advised to call 101 as the police would probably send out an officer to speak to him. Road marking The resident also referred to the lack of road markings on the Airfield Estate. He had asked KCC and Tonbridge and Malling Council about this but neither were responsible as thiswas private
SOMEONE used a vehicle, possibly a 4x4 in a bid to steal two caravans from a field where they were stored in Beacon Avenue, Kings Hill. The offenders abandoned a car- avan at the edge of the field. It is believed they may have been disturbed and fled the scene.
Therewas an attempt to break into a vehi-

Road, Aylesford, was broken into and cash was stolen. A bank car and cash were stolen in a bur-

Seven Mile Lane Following parking chaos during the school sports day, the school secretary had been contacted about why the pavilion car parkwas not used. The responsewas that they could not contact anyone to arrange this. However, contact numberswere easily available on the back page of The Record magazine,website etc. Itwas agreed to contact the school again inAugust to offer use of the pavilion car park again for special occasions and to ask for additional No Parking signs to be erected on the B2016 verge. The Street Itwas reported that some of the white lines had been reinstated but not all of those requested. The clerk asked several times when the remainder of the lines would be installed with no response. Allotments Therewas one vacant plot which had been advertised on thewebsite. The clerk would advise this in The Record. Recreation The recreation area had been treated forweeds and the cricket club had paid half the cost. Fete commiee More helperswere needed on the day. Itwas suggested that monthly meetingswere not required. The fete commiee had asked that a member of the parish council chair the fete commiee in future. Cllr Jenny Thorogood agreed to chair the meetings and said she would call three meetings prior to the fete and one afterwards. She would also try to get the fete held at Mereworth Castle next year. Meetingswere likely to begin in February.
Wateringbury
DispensationAt the start of the meeting Cllr Dennis Stones declared interests in three areas whichwere considered by the council from time to time. After discussions councillors agreed he could speak but not vote on maers relating to the Pear Orchard and the village fete and speak and vote on any items relating to the village hall. These dispensations would be for the life of the present council. Allotments All allotmentswere now being rented. Cllr John Evanswas thanked for repairing the gate latch. Borough councillor’s report Cllr Simon Jessel reported that he and others had raised objections to Tonbridge and Malling planning commiee’s decision to grant permission for Greensted redevelopment plan. The decision would now be the subject of an independent review. Crime reportA leer had been received informing the council that the police would no longer give wrien reports of monthly crime statistics. The clerkwas instructed to write to the police informing them that councillorswere unhappy with this decision. Glebe Meadow play areaA resident had asked the council to fence a small area of land near her property. Councillors decided that this piece of landwas not owned by the parish and therefore the councilwas not responsible for erecting a fence. Planning Council had no objections to the alterations to elevation and change of cladding material at 10 Upper Mill. Council expressed concerns about the line of sight for vehicles joining Red Hill as detailed in the revised design to that approved for the erection of a four- bedroom dwelling and detached double garage at 18 Red Hill. Village hall Cllr Stones reported that two regular bookings had been lost to other halls due to the problems of parking in the village car park, whichwas owned and managed by Tonbridge and Malling Council. Public discussion Maers raised: overgrown vegetation from properties restricting pavements; for creating more car parking within the village. The councilwas thanked for new surfaces around play equipment at the playing fields.

the garden of a property in Hazen Road, Kings Hill. A windscreen wiper was taken from a
Ford Fiesta parked in Hawkes Road, Ayles- ford. Partswere removed from a vehicle parked
in a car park in Liberty Square, Kings Hill. Plant machinery and diesel was taken
from a yard in Rochester Road, Aylesford. At Kings Hill, vandals keyed a vehicle parked in the road in McArthur Drive and another in Spitfire Road. A silver Mercedes Benz C220 (LV64***) was stolen from a property in The Links,
Addington and a patio doorwas damaged. Three white Ford Transit flatbed trucks, DY61**U, DY61**F, and EK11***,were stolen from a farm in Willow Wents, Mereworth. A Ford Mondeowas seen nearby.
