our Will can be a very powerful tool to help your loved ones. It can:

e your assets are left to the people you choose otect your family - appoint guardians for

Three quarters of Britons regularly give to charity in their lifetimes, yet only 7% currently include a charity when writing a Will. Nevertheless gifts in Wills are still the foundation of many of Britain’s charities, creating more than £2 billion each year, the equivalent of 19 Comic Reliefs. Without this income, many charities would simply not exist and others would have to cut crucial services. Since the launch of the campaign in 2002, so much has been achieved in terms of raising awareness of charitable gifts in wills amongst both the UK public and Will making professionals.

Remember A Charity has a clear objective: to make gifts in Wills the social norm by doing what no single charity can achieve on its own.

While it has been a challenging year for fundraising, by working together the consortium has had its most successful year to date.

The number of solicitors and Will-writers mentioning charity during the Will-writing process has reached a new high; and more than 1,000 firms have signed up as Campaign Supporters.

However, there remains so much more to be done. Why don’t you support this campaign and think about leaving a legacy to your favourite charity?
