Jack Nichol Award 2017 The Recreational Navigation Commission (PIANC) has issued a ‘Call for Applications’ to the Marina Excellence Design Jack Nichol Award 2017, which should be received by 30 September, 2016


The purpose of the Award is to recognise excellence in the design of modern recreational boating facilities around the world. The Recreational Navigation Commission of PIANC will evaluate the applications and make a decision based on the following criteria: functionality; aesthetics; and environmental sustainability. NOTICEBOARD Change to MIA’s


Adriatic study tour The Marina Industry Association (MIA) has made a slight change to the timing of the MIA Marina and Boat Yard Study Tour of the Adriatic to enable participants to more conveniently also attend the Monaco Yacht Show. The revised dates of 24-27 September 2016 will enable participants to then travel on to the Monaco Yacht Show that runs from 28 September-1 October.


The Study Tour will provide marina owners, investors and senior managers from around the world with a detailed insight into the management and operations of 13 marinas, boatyards and dry stacks located between Venice and Northern Croatia.
