I have sought to be a servant / leader and a pastor / teacher. With the Word as my guiding light, I have sought to convey the Truth with an eager heart, a caring hand, a loving prayer, and a steadfast love of the Lord. I have always said, ‘This job never pays enough,’ meaning, there are times that are so difficult that no amount of money would make it
worthwhile.
Then again, there are times so special, so sacred, so personal and intimate, so treasured, that their worth is beyond measure. I’ll go with the latter.

God called me into ministry through a dream. I responded out of a thankful heart for the precious gift of salvation through Jesus. I stand amazed and humbled at the fruit God has produced in every situation and congregation that I have been blessed to serve. I can’t imagine anything more wonderful than the joy I have known in being a pastor. My ministry has been blessed by the love and support of my beautiful wife. One church I serve, as I retire, is the same church where I was baptized as an infant, confirmed, and attended for twenty-three years.

Over the past twelve years I have enjoyed the communities of faith that I have been a part of. We have laughed much, cried often, and grown closer to the Lord and closer to one another. Overall it has been a good twelve years, and I would be amiss to say there have not been some bumps along the way, but we prayed and worked together for the good purpose of spreading God’s
love. From Alabama to the northern plains, and Arkansas rice fields to the Pennsylvania wilds, God brought forth fruit, friendships, and a guitar picker’s music. When the page turns, chasing light and making new melodies will be my spiritual service. God. Is. Good.
