Spare your blushes at a virtual charity run

IF you’ve ever fancied raising funds for charity but are too em- barrassed to get on your bike or run 10k in public, now’s your chance to give it a go – in private! Exercise specialist Emma Good-

man, who chairs the Mid Kent Committee of Action Medical Re- search, is organising a Virtual Run to raise funds for the charity which helps research into diseases which blight children’s lives. During half-term (May 28 to June

5) she is inviting people to run, cycle, skip – even crawl! – five or 10k to raise funds. Emma (41), who is one of the therapists at Southcote Proactive Healthcare in Sittingbourne Road, Maidstone, and lives in Grove Green specialises in pre and post- natal fitness and has two children of her own – Gracie, nine, and Archie, five. She plans to run 10k with her husband Richard, a mechanic in Aylesford, while the children ride alongside on their bikes.

Entrance is just £7.50 for adults

and £3.50 for children (16 and under) and everyone will receive a medal to reward them for their ef- forts. Full details of theVirtual Run are

available at the charity’swebsite, at www.action.org.uk/virtual-run. Action Medical Research is a UK-
