Campey Pitch Renovation Tour

UK & Ireland Pitch Renovation Tour for grassroots winter sport

The UK & Ireland Grassroots Pitch Renovation Tour, a series of full pitch renovations aimed at improving the quality of grassroots natural turf sports pitches across the UK and Ireland, got underway in mid-April.

The tour, in conjunction with Dennis Sisis, ICL, Limagrain, New Holland and Pitchcare, is designed to educate grassroots groundsmen by using the latest machinery and most innovative industry techniques to highlight how to improve the standard of local pitches, regardless of budget.

The tour will also show how, by implementing small, as well as large changes to your maintenance practices, you can radically improve the quality of your pitches in a short space of time.

Delegates will be able to see working demonstrations of the Koro Field Top Maker® with

Terraplane Rotor® - powered by a New Holland tractor, the Universe Rotor®, Imants Shockwave and the Raycam Speedresser

As the tour aims to give a rounded educational experience it will also be featuring grass seed products from sponsors, Limagrain, who have a range of seed perfect for winter sports pitches.

ICL will also be talking groundsmen through their range of products, explaining what best to use to deal with specific problems and how to maintain a healthy sward.

New Holland tractors will also play a big part in driving the event, and will not only be used to demonstrate machinery on the day, but also the difference having a high quality tractor can make.

Sisis will also be providing equipment for the tour, with a vast range of machines and hand

First stop Cambourne, and a good turnout

operated tools that can be used for both pitch renovation and ongoing maintenance.

Whilst the tour is focusing on renovating a pitch, the preparation of a newly rejuvenated surface is also very important. Sponsors Dennis and Pitchcare/ALS will be showcasing products that can help maintain a rejuvenated surface.

Dennis has a renowned range of mowers built specifically with football, rugby and hockey in mind, including the G660, G760 and the G860 as well as their Premier Range and Gang Mowers.

Pitchcare will be demonstrating the Graco Fieldlazer S90 MKII linemarker.

Visit the Pitchcare stand for technical advice or discuss opportunities to procure over 2,000 market leading products distributed by the company.
