Azerbaijan with the result that literally overnight people from such ethnic groups where presenting at the pharmacies requesting smoking cessation service, medicine compliance aids, allergy advice, cholesterol and blood pressure monitoring.

Parvana said, “This was very unexpected but I accept it with great pleasure. I would like to thank the pharmacy for supporting me and for even putting me forward for this award. Without them and their support I wouldn’t be able to carry out my job half as effectively as I do, I rely on them and so this award is an acknowledgement to them also.

“Entering the awards process has impacted on all of us, it has meant

that we, and myself in particular, have been able to reflect on what we are doing, how well we are doing it and identified any areas for improvement. To receive recognition for that is even better.”

Conor Walls, Director of Business Development, Exchange Accountants said, “Exchange Accountancy are delighted to support the Pharmacy in Focus Awards. These prestigious awards provide an opportunity for the shining lights in community pharmacy to be both recognised and celebrated.

“This evening has been so worthwhile and it is so humbling to listen and learn about all the great work happening every day in life within community pharmacy.

“It is this tangible and measureable success that creates such a feel good factor during the awards ceremony. Parvana is such a worthy winner, but congratulations must go to all the finalists and winners”.
