announced winners of the Health Promotion category.

Bannside Pharmacy received funding from the National Pharmacy Association Health Education Foundation bursary and the Northern Health & Social Care Trust to provide a free 12-week Wellness and Weight Loss programme for 100 participants in conjunction with the University of Ulster, Coleraine School of Pharmacy entitled Portglenone Gets Healthy! (PGH) from September - December 2014.
This project has been a great success and made a tremendous difference to all who participated.
Accepting the award on behalf of the team, pharmacist Ryan Graham said,

When we see teams such as this one at Bannside Pharmacy, at a time when pharmacy is being questioned at both a political and commissioning level, then these awards reinforce what we already know, which is that pharmacy is at the heart of the community. They really make that difference.”
