Turning back the clock 10 years to 2005… NO JOY FOR JOSH
Northern Ireland international striker Josh Magennis was a member of the County Down team in the Junior competition.
After defeats to Everton and Maccabi Haifa they beat Swindon Town 3-2 in the Dunluce Trophy quarter-final and County Londonderry on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the semis.
However, Cherry Orchard ran out 3-0 winners in the final.
BLUE WAS THE COLOUR FOR BRENDAN
Current Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers was the Chelsea boss at the tournament a decade ago.
He steered the Blues to the final where they lost to Barcelona at Coleraine.
His squad included Michael Mancienne, Jack Cork, Ryan Bertrand and Scott Sinclair.
The goalkeepers were South African-born Dean Furman and Welsh lad Rhys Taylor.
Furman also spent two years at Rangers while Taylor played for Wales up to Under-21 level.
Rodgers has a strong association with the tournament. He assisted former Chelsea boss Avram Grant at the draw in 2008 and returned as Anfield manager with Raheem Sterling to conduct the event in 2003.
Rodgers has sent Liverpool teams to compete in the Junior competition for the past number of years.

Josh, who also had a spell as a goalkeeper, went on to join Cardiff City and is presently with Kilmarnock.
After winning the Elite Milk Cup with Northern Ireland, he has now won 12 Northern Ireland senior caps since 2010.
NO DANISH TREAT FOR RODWELL! Jack Rodwell featured in Everton’s 2005 visit here.
The Toffees, the most successful club at the Junior competition over the years, beat County Down and Queen of the South to reach the quarter-finals but lost out on penalties to eventual winners Lyngby Boldklub of Denmark.
The Danes also won the semi-final against Hearts on spot kicks and required penalties against CSKA Moscow in the final.
Rodwell played 85 times for Everton’s senior team before a move to Manchester City and then to Sunderland last year.
Now 24, he has made three England appearances.
LEROY’S THE BOY!
Leroy Fer featured for Feyenoord in the Premier tournament.
The Dutch star, who spent last season at QPR, also had spells at FC Twente and Norwich City after leaving Feyenoord in 2011.
The central midfielder was selected for the Netherlands World Cup squad in 2014 and scored his first World Cup goal in a group match against Chile which the Dutch won 2- 0 in Sao Paulo.
