2025 &

Shoppenhangers Manor, Maidenhead

On behalf of the Realstar Group, Savills planning and urban design teams secured planning permission at appeal for 52 new homes on the site of the former Shoppenhangers Manor at Maidenhead. The site comprised previously developed land and an area of green belt land beyond the settlement boundary. Site value was maximised by locating all of the public open space on the part of the site located within the green belt. Following the grant of planning permission Savills marketed the site, it being purchased by Persimmon Homes at a price in excess of the guide.

Station Hill, Reading

On behalf of Stanhope plc and Benson Elliott, Savills is appointed as property adviser and disposal agent on Station Hill, Reading. With nearly 930,000 sq ft of offices together with residential, retail and leisure, this is the largest mixed-use development in the Thames Valley. As part of the professional team, with lead architects Allies & Morrison, Savills is working to deliver the significant regeneration of an existing brownfield site to create sustainable development adjacent to Reading station, which has attracted more than £850 million of public investment. The site has secured planning consent and demolition is underway, ahead of construction starting on the first building of 212,000 sq ft to be completed Summer 2016.

Thames Water

Savills is Thames Water’s property and planning adviser. This strategic partnership started in 2013 and included the transfer of 13 employees to Savills to provide a wide range of advice to help Thames Water service 15 million customers. This outsourcing arrangement confirms Savills' position as the leading property and planning adviser to the water sector.
