Ultimate Canada Update Letter from the Editor


Welcome to the 17th issue of the Ultimate Canada Magazine. Every four years, there is a special emphasis placed on the Canadian Ultimate Championships. Winnipeg 2015 didn’t disappoint. With worlds bids on the line, the best of the best were out in full force. Jump to page 10 for CUC reflections and snaps of our junior all stars.


The fall was jam-packed with university events. Four regional events were held and CUUC and CUUC II took place in Ottawa. As usual the wind and the rain pounded the eastern half of the country but that didn’t stop top-level university ultimate from being on display. Flip over to page 16 for results and a tournament recap.


As always, our regional update section takes you on a journey from west to east across all six Ultimate Canada regions. Dress up and play in BC’s Pumpkin Pull and join The Collective as they dance their way


from the Atlantic provinces to a national medal. Enjoy a little light learning about Winnipeg’s university scene and Toronto’s cutthroat parity league. Finish off your journey by jumping from an all-out Alberta update and track Iris’ journey from inception to two points shy of a national title. The regional update section has it all.


Our first true feature section reports on a rivalry becoming commonplace and life inside team orange.
