VoIP Unlimited to supply Sahara Force India F1 team
Poole-based telecommunications firm VoIP Unlimited has become an official supplier to the Sahara Force India Formula One Team.
Sahara Force India is an up- and-coming Formula One team competing in the FIA Formula One World Championship, which is regarded as the pinnacle of world motorsport. Since 2008, the team has grown in competitiveness and established its reputation as a genuine podium contender.
The partnership, which was finalised earlier this month, will see VoIP Unlimited deploy an ethernet solution across Sahara Force India‘s multiple locations, providing the team with a single, secure and scalable platform.
Mark Pillow, managing director at VoIP Unlimited, said: “It‘s a great privilege to be able to work with Sahara Force India and deliver a reliable data transfer solution. We always provide a service of the

A seminar? Just shoot me
Seriously – when is the last time you had fun at a seminar? asks children‘s author Ali Sparkes
“I‘ve sat in seminars and I‘ve presented them. I‘ve been bored in the audience and I‘ve been terrified on the podium. But it really shouldn‘t be like that.
“Over the years I have learned how to have fun with everyone from special-needs kids to heavyweight lawyers. The basics are pretty much the same for both.“
... you don‘t have to be extrovert to present a great seminar
Despite a background in BBC broadcasting, Sparkes only got over the nerves after becoming a children‘s author and having to handle school assemblies.
“I realised the best presentation is a two-way thing. Make it as much about your audience as yourself. Get them involved. I now do more than 100 interactive shows a year – from schools to Hay and
Edinburgh festivals – and I have a fantastic time.
“Of course my broadcasting background helps but the basics can be learned by anyone – you don‘t have to be extrovert to present a great seminar.“
Although now a busy, award- winning author (two Blue Peter awards for her novel Frozen In Time and a Carnegie Medal nomination for Wishful Thinking) Sparkes still occasionally runs seminar presentation training for business clients – a hangover from her days as a BusinessLink trainer and working with Hampshire law firm Warner Goodman.
“I‘ve become quite evangelical about it. I can see the difference it makes to people after just a day‘s tutoring. I love it.“

The Awards, which have been held every year since 2002, recognise providers in the global travel and health insurance industry for innovation, achievement and quality of service. The shortlist comprises those firms with the highest number of nominations from subscribers of the ITIJ.
Team members from Blake Morgan‘s travel insurance team have been nominated for the quality of their legal work on behalf of travel insurance companies and their clients.
