Rick Munro
Having spent eight years with a City firm in London and Hong Kong, Munro moved to the South Coast 17 years ago.
Throughout his 25-year career he has remained passionate about resolving disputes, whether as legal adviser to one of the parties or as an accredited mediator, a role he has been fulfilling for the past 14 years.
Munro offers a dynamic, commercial yet personable approach to his work.
He heads up the firm‘s dispute resolution and insolvency/corporate recovery teams, together with its legal costing team, Sentio Costs, for the Solent region.
His particular specialities include insolvency claims, breach of duty claims, asset recovery, professional negligence, complex insurance disputes and mis- selling of interest rate hedging products.
Jonathan Gray
Gray is a partner specialising in employment and licensing law. He advises on all aspects of employment law with considerable experience in handling employment law litigation including complex dismissal, discrimination and equal pay claims as well as contractual disputes and restrictive covenants.
He has extensive advocacy experience gained in employment tribunals and employment appeals tribunal appearances. He is also an accredited employment and workplace mediator. As a result he can effectively and efficiently advise and represent his clients comprehensively throughout any contentious employment dispute.
He has considerable experience advising on restructures, re-organisations, collective consultation, TUPE and union recognition and bargaining. Gray delivers bespoke HR support for a wide range of clients.
He also advises in relation to the licensing system covering alcohol, gaming and public entertainment, taxis, new applications, transfers, temporary events, variations and reviews. His work includes representation of clients before local authorities and magistrates‘ courts.
Nick Todd
Todd has been a partner in the commercial real estate team at Pitmans (formerly with Lamport Bassitt) since 2011. He has been qualified for over 20 years after training with a local authority and on qualification worked at Pinsent Masons LLP in the City throughout the 1990s before moving north and working for several years with Eversheds LLP in Newcastle upon Tyne.
He has specialised in commercial property matters since qualification and has a broad spectrum of experience of buying, selling, letting and financing freehold and leasehold land in the office, retail and industrial sectors.
His expertise includes negotiating bespoke contracts, options and conditional agreements. He also deals with the acquisition and disposal of land for residential development purposes on behalf of landowners and developers. He has significant experience of acting for investors (including charities) and public sector clients.
