The Island of Mull is the second largest island in the Inner Hebrides, with a fascinating history. The coastline is an appealing mix of high cliffs, white sand beaches, sheltered sea lochs and off-shore islands which provide an excellent habitat for wildlife. It is a fertile and populated island producing delicious seafood and other speciality produce to be sampled on board. The itinerary almost circumnavigates the whole island from Tobermory in the Sound of Mull to the magical offshore islands on the western coast including theTreshnish Isles, Staffa and Iona.


Typical Stopovers and Anchorages: • Duart Castle: Anchor in Duart Bay with the dramatic backdrop of Duart Castle, keeping an eye out for dolphins and otters. Go ashore to visit the home of the Clan Maclean


• Tobermory: The main town on Mull, Tobermory provides a picturesque anchorage with its colourful harbour buildings. Go ashore for speciality shopping and woodland walks


• Calgary Bay: A beautiful shell-sand beach, Calgary Bay is a good spot for dolphins. Walk on the sands edged with flowering machair


• The Treshnish Isles: These exquisite small islands are a natural paradise. Go ashore to get close to rare birdlife


• Staffa: The Island is a wonderful natural habitat. Go ashore to get a close view of the rock formations and, given favourable weather, a trip in the tender into Fingal’s Cave


• Iona: Go ashore to soak in the atmosphere of this magical island and its ancient Abbey. If you are lucky the elusive corncrake can be heard


• Ulva and Gometra: Our sheltered anchorage between these two small islands is perfect for spotting white-tailed eagles and seals


• Loch na Keal: Drop anchor in this stunning sea loch with wooded slopes and views of majestic Ben More. Tiny Inch Kenneth with its intriguing history is nearby for a shore visit


• Loch Spelve: A large sheltered inlet, fringed with ancient oaks forest, Loch Spelve has resident otters. The Chef will buy the tastiest mussels for dinner fresh from the loch from the mussel farm
