This fall, the Recreation Division staff has implemented many affordable classes and programs for all ages to explore educational, social, cultural and athletic interests in organized and sponsored programs. Numerous public services are provided throughout the City’s well maintained and operated parks system, tennis courts, municipal marina, playgrounds, a nature preserve, fishing pier, boat launch facility, numerous beach accesses and a popular beach park.
The city remains proud of the parks, beach and public facilities and invites you to visit and use them as often as possible. City staff is here to serve your parks and recreation needs and manage the parks, civic spaces, landscape areas and open spaces that lend to Naples notable quality of life.
The Ambassador Program is always looking for energetic volunteers to assist with staffing of the Hedges Family Eco Center at the Naples Preserve and with numerous other volunteers’ efforts throughout the City. Please contact us for information about volunteer programs and locations that may be of interest to you.
A comprehensive citywide parks master plan began earlier this year including public meetings with park user groups, a formal randomly mailed survey and a web- based survey. Residents were asked to provide interests and opinions on City parks, facilities, programs, events and what improvements or changes may be necessary for the long-term benefit and enjoyment of residents and park users.
