ROCKIN’ THE SIX-PACK by adam winter
DO YOUR ABS NEED A JUMP- START FOR THIS SUMMER’S
FUN UNDER THE SUN? Not only do fit abs look great, they also help to en-
sure a strong core. A strong core is necessary for great posture, being able to support your body, the ability to move in a variety of ways, as well as, allowing you to have better sex.
There are three key components that need to be addressed when defining your abdominals: 1) Target the lower abs first. 2) Obliques are necessary for a functional core. 3) Continue to define the entire abdominal region.
USE THESE THREE KEY EXERCISES TO ENSURE STRONG SUMMER ABS. LOOK SEXY AND FEEL STRONG!
#1 Leg drops: Building Lower Abs.
Preparation - Raise both legs toward the ceiling. Breathe in and tighten your abs.
Execution - Exhale and slowly lower your legs until they’re about four inches above the floor (or as low as you can go without lifting the small of your back from floor) and pause, then breathe in. Breathe out as you raise your legs to the starting position. Repeat 10 times.
#2Cable Rotation: Obliques to “Frame” the Abs.
Preparation - Stand holding a cable with both hands out in front of you at just under shoulder height.
Execution - Keeping your arms fixed and straight as you engage your abs. Rotate your upper body to the left, then back to center, then to the right and then back to center. That’s one-rep, alternate sides for one set of 10 complete reps.

#3Stability Ball Rollout: Defines Entire Abdominal Structure.
Preparation - Kneel on floor or mat facing a stabil- ity ball within arm’s reach. Straighten hips with subtle bend. Also, straighten arms with slight bend, down in front of body. Place fists side by side on upper side of ball closest to hips.
Execution - Lean forward and roll ridged arms out over ball, rolling forward as far as possible. Raise body back up by pulling arms back until kneeling upright in original position. Repeat until failure.
