22. Equality and diversity records are maintained in relation to casework decisions. Where the information was available it was analysed in relation to the applicant’s gender, ethnicity and age.
23. Of the 343 Qualifying Employment applications considered by the Office, there was information available for all candidates in relation to the gender of the applicant. Of those 343 applications, 268 were made by females and 75 made by males. The Office approved 240 applications made by females and 72 applications made by males. The Office refused 24 applications made by females and 2 applications made by males. 1 male withdrew from the process and 4 females. The Office approved 90% of applications from females and 96% from males.
24. Of the 343 Qualifying Employment applications considered by the Office, there was information available for all 343 candidates in relation to the age of the applicant. Of those 343 applications, 63 were made by applicants within the age range 21 - 25 years. Of those 63 applicants, 59 were approved by the Office and 4 were refused. 175 were made by applicants within the age range 26 – 30 years. Of those 175 applicants, 163 were approved by the Office, 9 were refused and 3 withdrew.
25. 53 applications were received by applicants in the age range 31– 35 years. Of those applications, 48 were approved by the Office and 5 were refused. 18 were made by applicants within the age range 36 – 40 years. Of those 18 applicants, 14 were approved by the Office, 3 were refused and 1 withdrew. 15 were made by applicants within the age range 41 - 45 years. Of those 15 applicants, 15 were approved by the Office. 13 were made by applicants within the age range 46 - 50 years. Of those 13 applicants, 8 were approved by the Office, 4 were refused and 1 withdrew. 5 were made by applicants within the age range 51 - 55 years. Of those 5 applicants, 4 were approved by the Office and 1 was refused. The fewest applications were received from applicants aged 56 years and over, with only 1 application being received and this was approved.

The majority of the applications were received from White British applicants, with 265 applications being received from applicants in this category.
