16. 17 applications were made by applicants within the age range 41 - 45 years. Of those 17 applicants, 15 were approved, 1 was deferred and 1 was refused. 9 were made by applicants within the age range 46 - 50 years. Of those 9 applicants, 8 were approved and 1 was deferred. 7 applications were made by applicants within the age range 51 - 55 years. Of those 7 applicants, 4 were approved, 1 was deferred and 2 were refused. The fewest applications were received from applicants aged 55 years and over, with only 3 applications being received. Of those applications, 0 were approved, 2 were refused and 1 deferred.

18. Of the 251 applications considered by the Committee there was information available for 232 candidates in relation to the ethnicity of the applicant. The largest proportion of those applications, were received from White British applicants, with 155 applications being received from applicants in this category. Of those 155 applications, 123 were approved by the Committee, 7 were deferred and 25 were refused. A summary of the figures appears below.

19. Applications from non-white applicants were received in significantly smaller numbers. As a result these have been aggregated. For White British applicants 80% of the applications received went on to be approved. For all other applicants 78% of the applications received went on to be approved.


20. The Committee only considered 3 applications for Fellowship via the Work Based Learning scheme. 1 was deferred and 2 were approved. Equality and Diversity data will not be presented here in light of the number of applications considered.


OFFICE DECISIONS Qualifying Employment


21. The Office considered 343 Qualifying Employment applications. Of those 343 applications, 312 were found to be in Qualifying Employment, 26 were found not to be in Qualifying Employment and 5 withdrew. All office decisions are reported to the ALC.
